A face that is worth a lot

English film director Michael Hughes is supposed to make a documentary about Isabelle Dinoire face transplant. The 60 minutes documentary should be ready before summer as French channel TF1 said today.

The shooting started in September 2005 at the Amiens’s hospital in collaboration with Pr. Dubernard, the doctor who operated Dinoire’s face. TF1 is know in France to be the worst channel ever, it is somewhat an equivalent of FOX in the States. And now they proudly announced that they had bought all the rights about the documentary for an amount of 3.000 euros ($3.576) per minutes.

TF1 spokesperson, Philippe Balland, precised: “I don’t think Isabelle Dinoire is making a business of her story, neither the producers nor the director.” He added: “We also gained the international distribution excepting U.S and Canada.” Obviously, no one wants to make money here, they only care about the medical information…

Maybe Dinoire needs a lot of money to start all over again, have you seen her new face? Don’t click on the link if you have a sensitive soul…
