Mariam Khan, a junior double-majoring in journalism and history, was born and raised in Dubai, before moving to Long Island. Part of her decision to study at NYU Abu Dhabi for the 2022-2023 was to spend time in her childhood country again. She aspires to work in the journalism field post graduation, but is always interested and open to see where life takes her.
Particular areas of interest include the media landscape, history, and culture conservation of the UAE.
