Isn’t it about time the New Orleans Saints turned their attention to more important things than where they play their games? Both before and after their game against the Giants on Monday, they complained non-stop about having to play in New Jersey, about not feeling welcome, and about having the disadvantage.
Now I realize that every football team takes itself seriously, and that the players and coaches take what they do seriously, and they should. They certainly get paid more than enough. But the Giants did their best the welcome the “homeless†Saints – giving them all the advantages of a home game, letting them wear their home uniforms, even painting the Saints logo on the field. And still, the Saints complain that they don’t get no respect.
Doesn’t the Gulf Coast have more important things to worry about right now than whether or not the Saints have a place to play? And hearing a bunch of overpaid football players whine about how they got robbed of a victory because they had to play in New Jersey – GASP – is not news to me.
