High-Brow Fashion

For the past two weeks, the New York Times’ Style Magazine T has had their Fall fashion supplements, one week for women and one for men. These two issues show the intersection between fashion and culture, illustrating why fashion journalism is important. The supplements are filled with beautiful photography and the articles speak intelligently about the non-essential essentials (clothes, beauty, famous personalities, etc) that have become a part of our lives. The books become even more significant given an article in the women’s supplement, “Fashion Credits,” which goes down a list of editors who have now become designers.
