Feature Story:We summarized Bernard Haykel's speech about ending the war without having a war, Compiled a survey of the NYU Community regarding their feelings about September 11, Did a "Word on the Street" piece which has quotes about how people's lives have changed with a picture next to it, and compiled some startling facts about both sides of the war (America and Afghanistan)

Effect: The September 11 attacks opened my eyes. It made me realize that there is a whole world out there that the American media and public ignores and if we continue to do so, we will continue to be shocked when what happened on September 11 happens again. I am staunchly anti-war, I think it will only serve to perpetuate the cycle of violence, and there are several things we could do to prevent it, starting with alleviating the horrible poverty that some people in the Middle East live in so we do not create situations that lend themselves to the formation of Islamic extremists.
