Excluded from financial aid schemes by the government, many sex workers have turned to mutual aid funds for survival.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On August 1st, 2020 people from around New York City gathered at Times Square for a Black Sex Workers liberation march and vigil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"THE SEX WORKER by NYU JOURNALISM\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?visual=true&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F944163727&#038;show_artwork=true&#038;maxheight=750&#038;maxwidth=500\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was here, where I first met \u201cTim\u201d. Tim\u2019s pronouns are they\/them\/theirs. Tim is an actor, fitness coach, and sex worker.
