The media coverage of Hurricane Katrina is going to save lives in Texas.

Are celebrities so used to being misrepresented by the paparazzi that they are numbed to minor untruths printed in “serious” magazines?

Just like The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver have been replaced by Cops and Family Guy, so too has the public’s taste for the sensational and dysfunctional bled into the nightly news.

I don’t care how many bodies were “in a New Orleans Hospital,” and neither does the American public. We want to know how many people died because of the HURRICANE!

Don’t get me wrong, I CARE! I just don’t want to be haunted by the images for the rest of my life.

People were starving, drowning, dying every day, and I was convinced it was all Bush’s fault. . . and I’m from a red state!
