Yeah – ‘Pandemic’ you read it right!. I interviewed PANDEMIC!… how dude? Where did you meet the pandemic? Are you sure you aren’t delusional or something?

I know these are the questions running through your mind right now. Well, the job has been done and I must say that the risk worth the news report that I shared in this video interview.

To let the cat out of the bag, four jolly good friends (grown up men) formed a music band. They did this during the hit of the pandemic in New York City. Moving forward in what started as an ideal now put food on the table five months after. But something more is unique about this ‘Pandemic’ band.

The street can still be a place to earn a living even when the going is tough. One stone can still be used to kill a bird in life. This reflects as the band hit the street doing what they know how to do best. Compliance to the new safety practices is key as people strive to socialise in the new normal way of life. Kindly share your own theme after watching the video report.

I wanted to find out what people do and why they do what they do during this Pandemic.

Since New York reopens from the covid-19 lockdown, I also set out to find out what alternative are out there for entertainers as indoor venues for entertainment and theatre film aren’t open yet.

CHARACTER:

Carlos Acelerato, – is one like many hustlers who knows how to cut his shot for a living through entertainment. He long discovered his vocal talents long before he decided to move to America. He was proud to share how his wealth of experience over the years performing with other salsa musical bands helped him to form his own band and named it PANDEMIC.

OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BAND

This percussionist is a real young dude who all through the show was catching fun playing the bongo drum with his bear hand. Most times with the tip of his fingers. He told me he’s got a full time job with UPS but does drumming as fun and side hustle.

Pandemic Baserist is not a young man but his skills on the string shows style and experience

The Pandemic band keyboardist in action during the life performance on Cooper Square. His eyes are fixed on the black and white keys on the instrument almost every time during the live performance that lasted for hours. The bass guitarist in sect, and at the background is a Chinese restaurant with customers sitting outside under a canopy appears to be enjoying the Salsa music.
