Acording to the US Census Bureau, white and Black/African American people both account for 46.0% of the population of DC. Yet, the COVID-19 cases data shows a completly different picture: cases among the Black population double the cases of the white population. This might show a trend reproduced in other areas of the country, but I think it’s still interesting to look specifically at DC to understand the dynamics at play that result in a bigger impact of COVID-19 within the Black population.
