Energy Crisis in Ghana

The power crisis, which local Ghanaians call Dumsor, has been prevalent across the country since 2012. The electricity runs in 36 hour cycles, where the people have 12 hours with power and 24 hours without. Some businesses have budgeted for generators to keep their businesses running, but many don’t have that luxury.

In the video below, Ghanaians speak out on how it has affected their lives, businesses, homes, and share what they think the government is doing to solve the problem.
