Oh Google, What Do You Not Want to Get Into?

Let's list some things that Google's been heading into so far: video downloads, desktop search tools, instant messenging. They're looking to create an online storage service. And now there are reports that they could be looking inject themselves into the iPod-dominated arena with their own online music store.

Google seems pretty intent on getting into various areas of internet data, communication and downloads, even targeting various major companies such as Apple, Yahoo! and Microsoft. With Google surfing the high wave right now, and already far more dominant than their rivals in their search engine roots, they likely won't stop at just audio and video downloads. Plus, they're starting to show signs of practicing the acquisition techniques that bigger companies use.

We might indeed be seeing a future huge corporation that will try whatever it takes to have a hand in every major part of internet content and data. Look out, Microsoft. Remember, you started out being dominant in one area and then branched out from there too.
