Giuliani Chooses Fox's "Hannity & Colmes" to Announce Presidential Bid

Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani chose Fox’s “Hannity & Colmes” to announce his run for the White House in 2008, perhaps seeking to bolster his conservative credentials and mollify criticism he might receive from the Right. Giuliani’s views on abortion (pro-choice) and Gay marriage (for domestic partnerships) are likely sticking points among the value-voters that delivered the Oval Office to President Bush in 2000 and 2004.

Somewhat interesting was Sean Hannity’s insistence on ending the interview on time – twice he announces that the two need to pick up the pace. Doesn’t he realize that Giuliani needs the reassuring visuals of Fox News to keep him as a viable contender?
