Spitzer vs. What's-His-Name

A recent poll by NY1 and Newsday showed that Eliot Spitzer was far ahead of his competition in the race for governor. He steamrolled over his Democrat rival, Tom Suozzi (that’s What’s-His-Name to 82% of people who were polled) and even scored some points with Republicans. So what does he do? Dumbfound us by launching a television ad.

Both Suozzi and Spitzer recently released campaign ads, and I’ve seen both on NY1. Suozzi also appeared multiple times on NY1’s “Inside City Hall” program, where reporters relentlessly prodded him about Spitzer’s approval rating. Considering Suozzi is even behind in Nassau County, his home turf, he definitely needs all the publicity he can get. As for Spitzer, he already has the name recognition and the money – but the primaries are half a year away.

It’s too early for people to really care about the elections. Also, promoting your name when it’s very much out there right now is nonsense.
