The blog-obsessed will no longer have to type in multiple URLs. LexisNexis is incorporating blogs into its databases in a venture with Newstex. The project, called Blog on Demand, will provide text in real-time and probably make students with multiple research papers much happier and maybe more gullible.
I don’t know about you, but back in high school I wasn’t allowed to use online sources because it was hard to know whether or not a source was credible. The same argument can apply to blogs –- especially those that don’t fact check. Even after the James Frey incident, I still can’t shake the old notion that a traditional book is more reliable than electronic text that can disappear at whim. One professor told me that she almost used information from a website made by elementary students before she realized what it was.
And yes, I know I’m being ironic by blogging about this.

Although I would do a quick, casual research online, I'm skeptical about the validity of information found on the web. A similar thing also happened to me when I was writing a research paper. I was about to quote someone, only to realize that it was an essay written by a high school freshman.
