Are Tabloids Crossing the Line?

I have to admit, I feel bad for Britney. She is obviously going through some series issues, but she can’t catch a break from the tabloid media.

There’s a thin line between coverage and stalking. I know I’m a part of the problem—I love celebrity gossip. But lately, I’ve been watching the videos on X17 and I’m really disturbed by it. They pretty much stalk the celebrity in order to get their shot when the celeb is doing absolutely nothing exciting. Who can blame Britney for snapping the other day and attacking X17? I would’ve snapped a long time ago. In one of the videos, Britney and a friend were just trying to drive down the street and the cops had to come get all of the paparazzi out of the way just so that they could drive.

I blame the explosion of online media for this; there seems to be more of a rush than ever for exclusive pictures because there’s so much competition.

It’s one thing to see the pictures. It’s quite another to see how they actually got the picture. It's not pretty and I’d rather be left in the dark. These videos show the ugly side of it all... it must be tough to be a celebrity, but I guess the millions of dollars make up for it.
