Blogging the Oscars

Coverage of the Oscars will spread to the blogs this year. Blogs that are already established must be hungry for a day of bad dresses and cheesy speeches, but David Spade is taking advantage of the event to launch a new blog.

David Spade will be running commentary throughout the event on a blog through his TV show, The Showbiz Show on Comedy Central. He claims that they'll "answer the questions you always wanted to ask and express what you were thinking, such as: 'For everyone out there wondering: yes, this is Kate Winslet's fifth nomination for an Academy Award. She has never won. We think this is finally the year that Winslet loses for the sixth time.'"

Sounds more like an attempt to bring attention to a show that no one's ever heard of. How convenient that the new season of the show starts in two weeks.
