Watch TV On Your Cell Phone

Verizon Wireless recently launched a new service that will allow users to watch TV shows from CBS, Comedy Central, ESPN, Fox, MTV, NBC, and Nickelodeon, all on their cell phone.

It's a nice idea, but who really wants to pay to watch TV? The service will cost $15-$25 a month. Call me crazy, but I'd rather get TiVo for that money. Cell phone screens are tiny. I thought the iPod video was dumb (and still do, by the way). But cell phone screens are even smaller. Maybe I just don't care that much about TV, I don't know. But it just seems really pointless to have this service for cell phones. Unless they make it free, I'll never bother to check it out.

I know in many Asian countries watching television on your cellphone is the norm. People go to work on the metro and watch the morning news show on their phones. America is always behind in technology, and then when it finallly gets it, it charges an arm and leg for services. Typical.
