As a spin-off of Ladies' Home Journal's "My Life as a Mom" column, where they have a different writer-mom write about her experiences as a mom and wife, the magazine is now allowing any mom to create a blog on LHJ.com that mimics this column.

In the May issue of LHJ, Diane Salvatore writes, "Blogging is a fantastic way for moms to keep family and friends up-to-date, and also a great way to make connections and start new friendships with other moms in the blogosphere."

This is a great way to add an older audience to blogs. A lot of online media focuses on younger generations while ignoring the older generation. But now your mom can blog about the fact that you don't call her--watch out.
