You’ve probably seen them, on bus stops, billboards, web ads -- pretty much everywhere. Attempting to catch the eye of the consumer, AT&T has released its new multi-billion dollar marketing plan.
It’s that time of year again--auditing time! For the first time in 2006, the Audit Bureau of Circulations will conduct its biannual circulation reports. Most major papers and periodicals go through this process, so of course they have some tricks up their sleeves.
Kids and newspapers are rarely seen together nowadays. Actually, now that I think about it, where they ever? I don’t ever remember seeing my classmates pick up the morning paper and bring it to school. And I bet my parents didn’t either.
There’s a new contender in the arena to challenge Internet giant Google. It’s a Jersey City-based company called Accoona.com. That’s right, like the Lion King song Hakuna Matata -- don’t worry, be happy.
Blogs and online media sites are growing by the second these days. The technology now available allows anyone to start his own blog or website. But are they all journalists?
There it was staring me in the face, right out of my morning paper—a CD-ROM. Not just any CD-ROM (and by the way, when was the last time you heard anyone mention a CD-ROM, 1998?), a CD-ROM containing [insert favorite paper here].
When Google announced plans to start chatting, I was a little skeptical, for them that is. They are trying to break into a realm that already has some well-established players like AOL, Yahoo, and MSN.
Remember that little claymation man from Saturday Night Live? Mr. Bill? Today he snuck himself onto the front page of the Business Day section of the New York Times. “Oh No, It’s the Web,” he proclaimed. That got my attention, now to read on.
